Celebrating Diwali

We have had a really exciting time learning about Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights this week. We read the story of Rama and Sita and how people lit lamps, called Diyas, to welcome them home. We created our own rangoli and mehndi patterns. Together, we made salt dough and made our own Diyas. We baked and decorated them. They looked amazing! Here are some photos of our busy week.
