Homework WB 24.02.25

Hello,
I hope you've all had a really super half-term break and are ready for school routines again tomorrow. We look forward to hearing about the children's news when we do our writing in the morning.
*You will see all of the detail for the half-term on our previous blog about special days and curriculum coverage.
*Reading - some children are in new phonics groups and reading different books. We emailed you all individually to update about this before the holiday. As usual, please return books on a Monday and a Thursday so that we can reset our shelves. New books will come home on those days as well. Please re-read the books you have been given a few times until children are fluent with them. We are delighted to have been able to purchase some new books so keep an eye on those coming home.
*We will have a phonics screening meeting later this half-term to share information about the National Phonics Screening Check which is sat by each child in Year 1 across the country. We will share that date as soon as we have confirmed it.
*Doodle - Puffins have worked so hard with doodle, especially working hard to be top of the charts! Keep going Puffins; we are a little behind those Penguins now but I know we will take that leading position soon!
*Homework - we named every homework pack before the holiday so you should have those again now to be working through. Please refer to week 1.
*Spellings this week: /k/ spelt with 'k' before e, i and y.
Kent, sketch, kit, skin, frisky, skill, risky, kettle, kilt, king.
See you all in the morning and enjoy your Sunday.
Mrs Jones.
