Homework WB 06.01.25

Hello,

A really happy new year to each of you - we hope it has been a super break for our families and you are ready for 2025! Already into spring term - this year is whizzing!

*We will begin our new half-term with spring spellings week 1. Tomorrow we will teach /igh/ words: right, bright, night, light, fright, tight, high, I, by, my. The last three words are common exception words so have the /igh/ sound but are spelt in a different way. These words will all be on your spelling shed from tomorrow to begin working through. We know the children have enjoyed using this.

*Reading - we hope you've managed to work through some of the books we sent home before the holidays. Tomorrow we will return to our phonics lessons and ensure children have new books to bring home. We have spoken to all the parents who have a child moving to a different phonics group and book colour. Please return books you've looked at several times so that we can fill our shelves up again.

*Doodle - The Y3 Penguins and Y4 Lime classes are just ahead of us in the doodle tables (after our wonderful streak!). We know that Puffins will come back strong after Christmas and hopefully we will be back in first position next week. New assignments can be found when you log in but also try to do your '5 a day' to help keep those maths skills really quick and fresh. It's great to recapping what we have already learnt!
