🌊 Habitats 🌲

Hi all,

Last half-term, the children explored the topic 'Habitats', which covered rainforests, woodlands and the polar regions to name a few. The children showed great interest in this theme, enjoying participating in activities to nuture their learning. For example, we used text from the story 'Peter and the Wolf' to retell, recycle and make our own stories, supporting our literacy development. We also shared the story 'The Gruffalo' and played in our very own Gruffalo Cafe,  helping us gain a better understanding of our topic which, in turn, supported our understanding of the world. The children's learning is encapsulated in the collages below.

We have already had a brilliant start to our final term in reception, and look forward to the exciting opportunities still to come.
