Base 2 Welcome meeting

Hello all,

Thank you so much for attending the Base 2 Parent meeting - it was a pleasure to see so many familiar and new faces in Base 2.

Attached are the handout notes with the key information from the meeting.

Tomorrow, your child should return home with a couple of extra handouts which were given out at the meeting:

- A list of the statutory year 3/4 spellings. These words are target words (the age-related expectation) for the end of Year 4. Our weekly spelling lists are derived from the rules and patterns which appear on this list, so it would be beneficial to ad hoc check your child's spelling of a handful of words from this document.

- A copy of the book band colour chart. This will help you to identify your child's age-related reading book colour. Each week, they will be encouraged to change their book and keep up regular practice of reading at their level.
