Owls Sports day Races
Year 1 had a fantastic sports day!
Year 1 had a fantastic sports day!
Year One had a wonderful time egg rolling on Monday afternoon. Mrs Westie helped us all to warm up with a jog around the field and then we practised our rolling technique before it was our turn. What fabulous egg rollers we were!
Thank you for all the beautifully decorated eggs. They all looked fabulous!
This week we have had a wonderful time exploring lots of areas of the world of science! Yesterday we practised observing closely, like all good scientists do, and learnt about the magic ingredients of rainbows (sunlight and water). Then had a go at growing one in the classroom and watching what happened, unfortunately no-one found a pot of gold! ;)
We have also had some fantastic visits from scientists this week - a big thank you to Daniel's and Ben's mummies for their brilliant chats. The children have been inspired!
Also, please don't forget to bring your cress growing competition entires back to school on Monday, we can't wait to see how you've all done.
Welcome back!
The children have had a fantastic return to school after the Christmas holiday and we are very excited to launch our new topic of 'Amazing Animals' this week. The Science knowledge organiser attached shows the vocabulary and knowledge that form the basis of this topic.
We have lots of thrilling things planned for this term and we cannot wait to see how the children will develop over the next couple of weeks. We know this topic will really enthuse them and we are excited to see what they choose to complete for their topic homework.
Many thanks,
Mrs Morgan and Mrs Westie
