Christmas Fun at Crossdale!
It's been a cracking day for Christmas celebrations here at Crossdale!
Wowzers trousers, what a day we have had in Year One today!
The day started with an email and video message from Santa, Mr Cresswell had told him how super we have been and that they'd be a present dropped off for us all later...well, all of a sudden the walkie talkies in the classroom went wild and we had to all assemble on the field because Santa and his elf were driving by on his motorbike!
It was pretty amazing and after driving round the field for us all to wave at him, he left a sack of presents, one for everyone!
Then, as if that wasn't amazing enough, the PTA also delivered giant Christmas party boxes with a goodie bag for everyone. We played Christmas bingo, read our fabulous new story book and gobbled chocolate whilst watching a CBeebies Storyland Panto!
Lunchtime brought scrummy Christmas dinner, crackers, hats and jolly music!
The children have been so grateful for all the surprises and it was simply magical seeing the awe and wonder throughout the day, a good dose of magic which is well deserved after a funny old year!
So, HUGE thanks to our wonderful Crossdale PTA for making the day so special with so many gifts for Christmas - it has been wonderful!
Just before the end of the day, we also got an email from Mr Cresswell to say that tomorrow is treat day as the reward board if full! So tomorrow it's non-uniform (anything goes as long as what they wear will also keep them warm at playtime) and it'll be a day of choosing and more party games and fun!
