We had a wonderful day celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali. We were joined by a visitor, Mrs Mistry, who told us all about how and why Diwali is celebrated.
Below are a few photographs of our Reception Diwali day:
The weather has not been wonderful but we have had a lovely calm start to each day this week. It's lovely to see the children being so independent and we are able to catch up with messages from the adults at the gate. We hope it's working well for you too. Here are a few updates about what we've been doing this week so far.
In your child's book bag you will find.......
We've had a super day in the classroom accessorising our uniforms with purple and green ribbons. The children have been carefully measuring the ribbons and cutting them to the required lengths. We have used our maths skills to measure and compare our ribbons with our friends.
After a very busy first week we decided to explore the wild area on a sunny Friday afternoon.
Please find attached the power point from the Reception parents meeting.
If you were unable to attend and would like to talk to us about any of the information outlined in the notes please pop in and speak to us or email us at everylittlevoicematters@crossdale.notts.sch.uk
We had a wonderful sports week organised by Mr Sanders. Here are a few pictures of what the children had a chance to try. More photos to follow....
We had a fantastic time outside on Friday. Here are a few things we got up to!
A quick reminder about our plans for Friday.
