This week's book is a wonderful story about a crocodile. Or is it.....?
We hope you have lots of fun learning about reptiles as well as practising your Maths and English skills.

We've had another a lovely week at school. The hedgehogs and tortoises have all been working hard and enjoying the sunshine. Here are a few photos to give you a taster of what we've been doing.
We have had a wonderful first few days with our lovely school bubbles!
Thank you for following the Rainbow Rules so well.

Hello lovelies, we have a great story for you this week. Both English and Maths activities are available on the Oak Academy website. This weeks lessons are week 7 and can be found by clicking on 'Schedule' then click on Reception.
We hope you find these useful.
Have a lovely week.
Mrs Mellor and Ingle
We are really looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow at school and just wanted to remind you to bring in a healthy fruit snack for playtime, a water bottle and a big smile. See you in the morning.

It has been lovely welcoming Year Six and Year One pupils into school this week and we are looking forward to seeing our Reception pupils tomorrow.
Please could we kindly ask for your support in trying to stick to the drop off and collection times for your child’s class bubble. This helps to ensure we don’t have too many parents / carers on the school site at any one time and means we don’t have any congestion coming onto / leaving the playground. When you are on the school site, please try to maintain social distance from other parents, as this follows government advice in helping to keep everyone safe.
Thank you in advance for your support,
The Crossdale Team
Hello lovely Lime Trees
This weeks story is a traditional tale that you may know already. We've planned some activities based around this story for you to work on. This weeks maths is based around a Julia Donaldson book called The Wizard and the Princess and these activities can be found in a link in the maths blog with the other White Rose resources.
We have decided to try to use the same learning mat - whether you are going to be in school or if you still have to stay at home.
If you are starting back next week we have put together a 'Welcome back to school' video showing what the classrooms will be like and some of the things that are the same and some that will be different.
Both of us will be in school next Thursday and Friday and then the following week and going forward it will be Mrs Ingle on a Monday and Tuesday and Mrs Mellor on a Thursday and Friday.
We hope you enjoy this weeks stories and have a great week. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any queries, or messages.
Take care
Mrs Ingle and Mrs Mellor
Hello lovely lime tree class!
I hope you've had a super half-term and enjoyed the gorgeous sunshine that just keeps on shining!
Please find attached next week's learning mat, writing and maths tasks.
This week's learning is around Eric Carle's 'The Tiny Seed'. It's a wonderful educational story that follows a seed's journey to a flower. Here's a link to the story:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls6wTeT2cKA
Once you've had your lovely story time, we'd like the children to have a go at writing the Super Sentence (we did these each week at school): One seed lands on the ..... (your child can choose the ending.....mud, sun, grass, desert).
There are some 'tricky tracker' words in this sentence (one, the), as well as the 'ee' (as in seed) sound that not all children will have come across in their phonic sessions.
We hope you enjoy this week's story and as always e-mail us with any questions.
Take care
Mrs Mellor and Mrs Ingle
Hi Lovely Lime Trees
Its been so lovely hearing about how you've been getting on with the weekly learning mats. Thank you for keeping us up to date. There's been so many fantastic examples of how you have been practising your reading, writing, drawing and maths skills as well as lots of your own home learning projects.
Next week is half term so there is no learning mat or project today. We will send the next one out a week today.
We have been busy in school and at home getting things ready for when you come back to school and we will be telling you more about it soon. All of us in school are very excited and we are looking forward to seeing you!
Take care and keep smiling
Mrs Mellor and Mrs Ingle
