  • KEYWORTH LOCAL AREA STUDY - HOMEWORK AND VILLAGE WALK

    Published 11/06/21, by Admin

We have had a wonderful first week back and enjoyed finding out about our new topic. This term we will be learning about our local area and we loved that it is something we are already experts on! Please find attached our topic homework for this half term.

We are excited to be able to tell you that on Wednesday 7th July we are going to be going on a village walk. This will help to provide some exciting links to a couple of areas across the curriculum:

    • Geography – local study topic
    • DT – finding out about the play areas in Keyworth and the type of equipment they have. We will use our finding to help us when creating our own playground design.
    • Art – we are exploring buildings in art this half term and we will be sketching the church.

We hope to be able to order all children a school packed lunch and use an area of Keyworth Primary School to do this. We will leave school after registration and be back in time for the end of the school day. In order to do this trip we will need some parent volunteers - ideally as many as we can get, but this will depend on the covid situation at the time. Please let us know if you are able to help us with this trip and we will be able to confirm adults when we are clearer about the government guidance.

    Many thanks,

    The Base One Team
