What an Amazing Half term, Robins!
What a busy half-term we have had! The children have done so well and have engaged in so many different events. We learnt The Gingerbread Man and then invented our own story. We then made and decorated our own gingerbread men…and promptly ate them! We learnt about the Christmas story and Hanukkah. The children performed amazingly in the Christmas production, #StarsoftheShow!.
We also had so many visitors. We had the Teddy Bear’s Hospital. They were fabulous at teaching us about our bodies and what happens when we need to visit the doctors or hospital. They showed us x-rays, keeping our bodies healthy and how we use our senses. The children loved bringing their own teddies into school to help with the investigations. We also had some very cheeky visitors – Rudolf the Reindeer and The Grinch. Both were stealing things from our classroom – The Grinch even stole Mr Pharaoh! Fortunately, there was no harm done and everything was returned. A particular highlight was when Santa and his elf joined us for our assembly. You can imagine how excited the children were after that! We even had an extra surprise visitor – Ofsted! It really was a busy few weeks!
Here are a few pictures of the fun events the children have enjoyed.
