Homework Blog WB 30.09.24

Hello,

Another great week for the Puffin Class - we are really stuck into our topics now and have been really excited to learn our new story called 'Monkey See, Monkey Do'.

A few bits of housekeeping:

*On Tuesday afternoon we will do our science 'taste' experiment. Please ensure you have filled in the form that was sent to you. This is really important as relates to allergies. Although we have this information, we do like to plan ahead and double check with specific foods.

*Partake payment is available for you via Arbor. We will have this session in a few weeks' time. Thanks!

Our spellings this week relate to week 4 - /ng/ and /nk  and the words are: thank, think, honk, sunk, wink, bunk, sing, string, hang, long. As usual, you will be able to find the related homework in your folders and on Spelling Shed games will be available from Monday.

Please use 'Special Homework Week 4' for your weekly practise of 'other skills'. Again, this can be found in the homework folder.

Please ensure you listen to your child read and practise their phonics at least 3 times a week. We swap books twice a week but in between, we advise you to re-read the books that have come home. You will also have a swap book and a 'love of reading' book that your child has chosen in our weekly book club sessions.

Once again, we are top of the doodle charts with a whooping 72% of you on track with your doodle - this is simply amazing! Keep up the super work - we can see that you are working really hard.
