Homework 17/06/24
Hello,
I hope you've all had a good weekend and ready for another great week. Don't forget that we have two INSET days at the end of the week so school is closed to pupils on Thursday and Friday. Staff will be working hard in school, so we look forward to hearing about what you get up to next week - have fun!
*Class photos - tomorrow! Don't forget your best smile!
*Sports day - you should have received an email with details of sports week (next week) and sports day - which is on Wednesday 26th June. Please see information on there about kit to wear and, in particular, please ensure children are in Crossdale sports uniform for sports day on the Wednesday. I will send children home with PE kits this week in case they need a wash ahead of then (we will only need these tomorrow as our usual PE lessons are Monday and Friday). Please note there is a £3 payment per child on school money to help pay for the outside providers we use to make this week really spectacular.
*We have told the children that our school summer performance will be 'The Greatest Show' this year which was met with great excitement. We started learning a few songs from this show last week. We will have our own special part to play for this - more details to follow.
*Your 'special homework' for the week will be in homework books on Tuesday. Apologies that I forgot to send those home until Wednesday last week and they were a bit laye.
*Spelling activity this week is linked to week 3 - adding s and es to words (plurals): cats, dogs, spends, rocks, schools, friends, thanks, catches, pushes, fetches.
*Please listen to your child read at least 3 times a week. Please ensure you return old books on either Monday or Thursday and we will make sure children have 2 new books on those days. Don't forget to send back the school swap books, too. We love having lots to choose from when we do book club!
*Try to stay in the green zone on doodle by completing your '5 a day' and your assignments that have been set by us.
