Brilliant Book Week!

We had a brilliant week last week to celebrate Book Week. All week in our English lessons, we learned about Michael Morpurgo. On Monday we created a fact file about his life and the books he has written. From this, we then planned our own story with a theme similar to those that Michael Morpurgo writes (war, animals, environmental issues etc). The children wrote some brilliant stories and should be super proud of themselves.

We will spend time before the Easter holidays making front covers and blurbs for their books!

During the week, we also had a book swap afternoon where we read some stories to Year 1 and Reception. Mrs Jones also popped up to Year 5 to read some funny poems!
