Homework WB 26.02.24
Hello,
Welcome to your weekly homework blog. A few key pointers for next week:
LIBRARY visit - Tuesday 5th March @2:30pm. We will aim to leave school just after 2pm. If you are able to join us on this trip, I'd really appreciate any extra help. ALL children must have their LIBRARY cards for this if they wish to borrow a book; without them, they will be unable to take a book home with them. Please send these in either Monday or Tuesday next week and I will carry them to the library and return them back to your child when we return to school to go home with you.
Our dress up as a book character is next Thursday (7th March) and we have lots of other lovely things happening in school to celebrate reading.
CHURCH trip - Time Travelling - Tuesday 19th March 12:55pm - 3:05pm. Again, I'd love additional parent support if you are able to join us for this visit for walking to and from the church in Keyworth. Please let me know if you are able to. We will have an early lunch for this and aim to leave Crossdale just before 12:30pm.
*Your 'special homework' this week relates to writing a descriptive setting. I am looking forward to the ideas the children have and also seeing them show you the targets they have been working on in school.
*Spelling activity this week is linked to week 2: split digraph a-e and e-e. Our words this week are: made, came, same, take, safe, date, lake, these, theme, complete. Work hard to learn them and remember that Spelling Shed is a great resource to use as well as the paper activity in homework books.
*Please listen to your child read at least 3 time a week.
*Try to stay in the green zone on doodle by completing your '5 a day' and your assignments. I know lots of you went above and beyond last week when I set you a special homework challenge - great job!
