Tamworth Castle

Hello parents and carers,

I hope you are enjoying the school holidays and that you are enjoying a break before we head into the second half term of year 2.

I just wanted to touch base on a few details before our trip next Thursday (4th).

*Lunch will be provided by school for the trip. There were a few parents who I spoke to as their children wanted something different who are going to provide their own but those parents should know who they are. Lunch has already been ordered (we took orders from the children at the beginning of September and these are the lists we will work from for next week, also).

*Children need to bring a named water bottle that they are responsible for carrying throughout the day.

*Children need a coat, again which they must carry that day.

*Parent volunteers are as before (we have been lucky that all those arranged before the trip are still able to support us this day).

*Arrive at school at 8:40am ready to leave promptly at 9am.

When your children come into school on Thursday we will ensure they have been to the toilet and have everything ready to go. I will talk all the adults through our risk assessment for the day and ensure that everyone is clear about how the day will run. The coach will arrive just before 9 am and we hope to board then so that we can make our way to Tamworth for 10:10 ish and make the short walk to the castle to be there for when it opens at 10:30am.

We will keep you posted about when we leave but we should be back at school for 3:30pm.
