DRAGON WRITING TASK

Hello Maple Class,

Happy VE Day! We hope you are doing something lovely to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE day. The weather is shining to help us celebrate the end of a very big war in Europe. In Mrs Morgan's house the garden has been decorated and she will be eating scones with cream and jam. Yummy! Mrs Westie is having a driveway picnic with her family. We would love to see pictures if you are doing something special.

Your writing task this week is linked to the Oak National Academy lessons. If you have been doing them you can follow lesson 5 for your writing task. If you haven't we would like you to write a character description of a dragon. You could draw your dragon first to help with ideas and then label it which would be a good plan for your writing.

Remember...

Capital letter and full stops
Aim for at least three sentences
Use adjectives to describe your dragon

Mrs Stockdale's retirement

Mrs Stockdale is due to retire this month and we are trying to put together some special things to thank her for being so wonderful over the years she has worked at Crossdale. We would love it if the children could send in a short film or photo to be included .
