Base 1 Carnival!

Base 1 Carnival is coming!
To finish off our St Lucia topic across base 1, we will be holding a 'carnival' next Wednesday 3rd April 2019 to celebrate! The children have been working on making carnival masks, learning Caribbean songs to sing on the day and will be making musical shakers next week.
Please could I therefore ask that your child brings bright coloured clothing to school on Wednesday 3rd April, ready for our carnival in the afternoon.

In other news, I am delighted to announce that after a vote in-class, our new Forest School reps are Dylan and Layla! They will begin meeting from next week, once a week to discuss all things Forest School related with the rest of the school reps from each year group - the plans already sound exciting!

Thank you to everyone that attended Parents' Evening this week, it was great to meet you all. A little reminder that at 6pm Monday 1st April we will be holding a meeting to discuss the Year 2 Residential also at school. 
We will also be trying Hot Cross Buns towards the end of next week in Base 1 as a part of our Easter celebrations.
